I was just looking for the "Emulation & ROMs" section and got a little sidetracked by this thread. This is a very intellectual take on a topic that’s usually handled with way less grace on other sites. I guess you really can find a learning experience in anything if you have the right mindset. I’m mostly here to figure out why my old controller isn't working with my PC, but I appreciate the deep thoughts shared here. It’s a good reminder that the internet is what you make of it.
